I Was a Good Boy
How was I when you were out?
I barely made any noise.
The pets and I just hung around.
For a while, I played with my toys.
I was the best, Mom.
I couldn’t have been any better.
If I had to give myself a grade,
“A” would be the letter.
I promise I was really super good.
You know me, I always try.
Who knows what made the babysitter
Sit in the corner and cry?
