East Bay Children’s Book Project

Everyone deserves a chance
For a quality education
That builds a fair society,
Leads to a better nation.

Some good folks got busy
When they found out there was a need.
They realized there were children
Who didn’t have books to read.

They gathered up a bunch of books,
Organized them on shelves.
They’re great community helpers.
You might call them literacy elves.

What they do is hard work
That in the end is satisfying.
Opening doors for others
Is very gratifying.

Just as busy as bees
Working hard in hives,
The volunteers at EBCBP
Are busy changing lives.
