Dad Verses a Bug

My mom saw a great big bug
Strolling across the kitchen floor.
When mom spotted that oversized insect,
She bolted for the door.

Mom screeched to dad,
“There’s a giant big bug in here!”
Dad grabbed a broom, puffed out his chest,
And bellowed, “Never fear.”

He knew he could beat any bug.
It’d be a snap to best this pest.
Dad confidently marched in like a hero.
He came back out with a lot less zest.

That brazen bug now controls the house.
He won’t even discuss paying rent.
But that’s okay, Mom, Dad, Sis,
The dog, and I are comfy in our tent.
